Aviation : The number of tourists week 35/24(26Aug–1 Sep) We view Slightly Negative. The number of tourists in week 35/24 was 0.54 million (+8% y-y, -13% w-w), as 69% of pre-COVID levels, the lowest in 2024. This is a negative sentiment for aviation stocks. However, this decline is due to seasonal factors as it is the low season for tourism. We expect the number of tourists to start recovering in October 2024. We see this as an opportunity to “gradually accumulate.” We maintain Bullish on the aviation sector and still choose BA (Buy, TP 25.75) and AOT (Buy, TP 64.5) as our top picks in the sector.
