Yesterday, SET Index fell more than 17 pts with program trading of B4.32bn or 46.7% of total trading value. Thailand’s export grew 8.7% in December and thus grew 5.4% in 2024. Still, Thailand faced a trade deficit of US$6.28bn in 2024. Oil price fell, following Trump’s speech that oil price should be lowered in order to weaken Russia and bring the Russia-Ukraine war to an end. As a part of Trump’s political strategies, oil price will become more volatile from now on.
